Salman Khan’s films are synonymous with action, drama, entertainment. And, audiences are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Salman Khan’s Radhe on the big screen. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the action-drama is one of the most anticipated films of 2021. And, the latest poster of the film has upped the excitement.

With exactly two months to go for the release of the film, Salman Khan unveiled a new poster, where he can be seen in a fierce yet slick avatar. Set in the backdrop of the battleground with burning helicopters. And, artillery, he looks hotter than ever with a chiseled physique and a resolute look on his face. The poster has all elements of a classic Salman Khan extravaganza and promises a massive entertainer.

Salman Khan’s Radhe: Movie Update

NEW DELHI: Salman Khan has confirmed a four-day extended weekend for his action-thriller ‘Radhe’ that he said would release on 13 May. The Prabhu Deva-directed film is among the bunch of Bollywood biggies that are slated for release over the next few months. And, expected to help the exhibition business make its way back to recovery.

Incidentally, Radhe was slated for release on Eid last year along with Akshay Kumar’s horror-comedy ‘Laxmii’ (then titled Laxmmi Bomb). The latter was picked up by Disney+ Hotstar for a direct-to-digital premiere. ‘Radhe’ will now clash with John Abraham-starrer ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’.

Salman Khan: Man Of Words

Salman Khan is a man of his words. The reason we brought this up today is because the actor shared a brand new poster of his forthcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai and revealed that the film will release in theatres on May 13. Salman Khan, who had promised his fans that the film will hit the screens on Eid, quoted a popular dialogue from his film Wanted. And, wrote in his tweet: “Eid ka commitment tha, Eid par hi aayenge kyun ki ek baar jo maine…” He added the hashtags #RadheOn13thMay and #2MonthsToRadhe to his post.

Talking about the film, Shariq Patel, CBO, Zee Studios, shared “We have excitement to bring back audiences to cinemas through this partnership with Salman Khan as his movies create an atmosphere of festivity. This would be one of the biggest movies in 2021 and we are keen to see the audience support/response. I am sure it would be a delight for the fans after a tough year. Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will be the perfect Eidi for Salman fans and cinema-goers.”

To be sure, Khan has come to own the Eid phenomenon for the past 11 years. After ‘Wanted’ that had made 60.24 crores in 2009, he came up with ‘Dabangg’ in 2010 that earned 141.24 crores, ‘Bodyguard’ ( 144.78 crores) in 2011, and ‘Ek Tha Tiger ( 186.14) crore in 2012, briefly making way for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’ at 207.69 crores in 2013. He returned with action comedy Kick at 211.63 crores in 2014 and notched up his two biggest Eid blockbusters with Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ at 315.49 crores, and Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan at 300.67 crores in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Salman’s Statement

In January, Salman Khan revealed that the film will have a theatrical release on Eid this year. In his statement, Salman Khan wrote: “Sorry it has taken me a long time to revert to all the theatre owners. It’s a big decision to make during these times. I understand the financial problems that theatre owners/exhibitors are going through. And, I would like to help them by releasing Radhe in theatres. In return, I would expect them to take the utmost amount of care. And, precautions for the audience who would come to the theatre to watch Radhe. The commitment was of Eid and it will be Eid 2021.”
